If you are involved in an accident caused by an identified driver who is uninsured, the amount of excess you may have paid will be refunded and your no claims discount restored.

– The vehicle registration number and the make/model of the uninsured vehicle, and
– The uninsured vehicle’s driver’s name and address (if available)
If it cannot be initially confirmed that the uninsured driver was at fault, you may have to pay your excess and your No Claims Bonus maybe affected. Once liability has been confirmed your excess will be reimbursed and your No Claims Bonus will be reinstated.

No.
Yes if you use your vehicle to travel to and from more than one place of business you will need Class 1 Business Use on your motor insurance policy, which we can add to your policy. Social, domestic and pleasure including commuting policies, only cover travel to and from your usual place of business. That is fine for most members of the public but the Armed Forces may be stationed at one place but have to travel elsewhere for training, or simply helping to fill a temporary need at another base. If you have this level of cover you will be able to claim your relevant business expenses.
No, windscreen claims do not affect your No Claim Discount.
When you take your car abroad the cover you have is shown on your insurance certificate, so you must always take this with you. You do not need to carry a green card when you drive in the EU (including Ireland), Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia, and Switzerland.
Accidental damage is covered on comprehensive policies. This covers you for damage to your car as well as the third party’s vehicle after an accident.
If you want to add another driver to your existing policy, please call us on (0)151 363 5290. You will need the following information about the other driver: Their name; Date of birth; Occupation; Driving licence details; and Their driving experience (such as any previous claims or motoring convictions).
No, factory fitted options are not classed as modifications. A modification is anything made after the car leaves the factory that alters the standard specification or the appearance of the car. The fittings should be declared as part of the overall value of the vehicle. If you require cover for a modified car, please call 0151 363 5290.
