Important information regarding pre-existing medical conditions

This policy does not provide cover for any claims arising from any pre-existing medical conditions, whether diagnosed or not.

If you or anyone to be insured require a travel insurance policy which covers existing medical conditions, you can access a directory of travel insurance providers who may be able to offer cover. Please visit https://www.moneyhelper.org.uk/en/everyday-money/insurance/use-our-travel-insurance-directory.

How does Coronavirus (COVID 19 including variants) affect the cover provided by your Forces Mutual Travel Insurance policy?

The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak as a pandemic in March 2020.

What this means for you?

The policy wording is very specific that it will not provide cover where you should be reasonably aware of circumstances that could impact your travel arrangements. Therefore, any trips booked on or after 16 March 2020 will not be covered under any section (apart from the Medical Expenses section) of the policy for claims directly or indirectly caused by the Coronavirus (COVID 19 including variants). This includes any preventative containment or delay measures.

Can we remind you your Forces Mutual Travel Insurance policy will not provide any cover if the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), WHO or regulatory authority in a country which you are travelling to or from advise against travel. In the present circumstances advice on foreign travel is susceptible to rapid and significant change, we strongly recommend that you check the up-to-date advice against your actual or potential travel plans.
