It's important that the work we do and our products and services demonstrate our purpose of improving lives

Thursday 16 February 2017 sees the official launch of our ‘Making a difference to Police and Military lives’ 2016 review, setting out our ‘improving lives’ purpose and marks the start of our 2017 programme of activity.

In 2016, our 150th anniversary year, we were pleased to be able to allocate £2.4m to support our Police and Military members and customers in ways that make a positive difference to them and their families.

Throughout the Police Mutual Group, it’s important that the work we do and our products and services demonstrate our purpose of improving lives. Our 90 page report, ‘Making a difference to Police and Military lives’ shows how we make sure everything we do as an organisation is linked to making a difference to the wellbeing of Police and Military families throughout the UK. From financial education to activities such as event sponsorship and charity support, we’ve tracked over 70 indicators across financial, physical, mental and community wellbeing headings.

“This annual “stock check” gives a clear picture of the difference we made in 2016. Our focus is on creating a better tomorrow and we track our progress to ensure that we deliver to those who protect us today.”
Stephen Mann, Police Mutual Chief Executive

To help showcase the initiatives we have put in place within the wellbeing space, we’ve teamed up with industry expert, Lucy Beresford. Lucy is a qualified psychotherapist and relationships expert, with a unique insight into workplace pressures and the knock-on effect these can have on personal relationships and wellbeing.
